Dave Melroy Memorial - July 2007
Members of the Reno area flotillas met at Station Tahoe to remember Dave Melroy, our Flotilla Vice Commander who passed away earlier this year. Family and friends of Dave joined us as we planted a tree in his honor at the Coast Guard Station Tahoe.
Dave was involved in many projects for the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and contributed extensive amounts of effort towards the missions of the Auxiliary. The Reno Flotilla is in the process of commissioning a Boston Whaler for use as a Flotilla facility. The Whaler will be named the 'Melroy' in honor of Dave's extensive efforts in getting this project underway through his dedicated and persistent efforts.
