Nevada Free Fishing Day - Sparks Marina - June 07
Li'l Toot made another appearance to promote Boating Safety, this time showing up around 6AM at the Sparks Marina for Free Fishing Day. In addition, Xavier 'Cip' Cipriano was able to recruit John Boyne, Jim Hartfiel, Dave Young, and Mike Lawrence to man the event. With probably more than 2000 people attending the event, we exhausted our stores of whistles, activity and coloring books that were given out to young fishermen and boaters.
We saw many happy young fishermen walking away with a nice catch of trout in addition to the educational material we provided.
Public outreach events such as the Sparks Marina Free Fishing Day provide the Reno Flotilla great opportunities to meet with the boating public to promote boating safety.
