The Melroy

The Auxiliary often serves the boating community by providing patrol support for many events. March 17 and 18, we volunteered for the Model Dairy Fishing Derby. A portion of our day was spent practicing towing and search patterns to keep the crews sharp and prepared. Although the biggest fish landed in the derby was nearly 12 pounds and 30 inches, the Auxiliary brought in something even bigger.
Pictured below is the Auxiliary crew on the Auxiliary facility Shiver Me Timbers saluting Tom Komadina's Auxiliary facility Following Sea and crew bringing in an even larger trophy - a vessel and four occupants who were stranded in the middle of the lake with engine trouble.

The Auxiliary was pleased that the rescued boaters were well prepared by having a VHF radio to summon help in their emergency.
